With a professional background in information technology, in 2004 I moved into a marketing role at Talis, an innovative Birmingham company providing library and educational software systems.
Talis was a pioneer in content marketing, and by 2009 I was prolific in producing blog posts, articles, case studies, videos, podcasts and eGuides.
I became a freelancer in 2011, and ran a busy, successful business for five years.
To hone my digital marketing skills, I then took up a permanent position as Senior Editorial Manager with Tomorrow People, an award-winning B2B content marketing agency. I stayed there for three years, producing content for a range of market sectors, from telecoms and big pharma to software and YouTube advertising. My clients included KCOM, EtQ, Hyster-Yale and Reconomy.
By late 2017, I was happy to pick up my freelance copywriting business again, and I now balance retainer work with individual B2B marketing content assignments.
